Description
"Bohun" (2014) by MissAway (J. D. Z.) inspired by my favourite character of the Polish book "With fire and sword" (Polish; "Ogniem i mieczem") by Henryk Sienkiewicz.
Tools: pencils (F, H2, HB, B, B2, B7, B8) and Picasa (program).
"Among nobles he knew how to be a polished cavalier; among Cossacks he was the wildest of Cossacks. In knightly company he was a knight; among robbers, a robber. Some held him to be insane; for he was an unbridled, mad spirit. Why he was living in the world, what he wanted, whither he was tending, whom he served, he knew not himself. He served the steppes, the whirlwinds, war, love and his own fancy. "
„Między szlachtą umiał być dwornym kawalerem, między Kozaki najdzikszym Kozakiem, między rycerzami rycerzem, między łupieżcami łupieżcą. Niektórzy mieli go za szalonego, bo też i była to dusza nieokiełzana i rozszalała. Dlaczego na świecie żył i czego chciał, dokąd dążył, komu służył — sam nie wiedział. Służył stepom, wichrom, wojnie, miłości i własnej fantazji.”
